Recently, I noticed a strange issue where clicking the shutdown button would result in a logout instead. It was quite annoying. After some research, I found the cause: the plank dock I had installed had a bug that was preventing the system from shutting down. So, after clicking shutdown, it would just log me out instead. To resolve this, I needed to exit plank or similar dock tools like docky before shutting down.

In the end, I decided to go back to using Unity's sidebar. So long!
