"Everything can be unboxed" Miho SSD hard drive enclosure unboxing
Didn't expect it to still fail, you get what you pay for……

Preface
Recently, I've wanted to try out Windows To Go, and I have two idle SSDs—a Samsung 512G and a Teclast 128G (M.2 form factor but actually SATA protocol).
This makes buying an SSD enclosure quite cost-effective.
After browsing JD.com, I picked the cheapest self-operated option. (About 39.9 yuan, I think) With a speed of 10Gbps, it's sufficient.
Packaging
The packaging is slightly misleading, I thought there was a SATA hard drive enclosure...

Unboxing
It's very simple inside

Accessories
- One data cable
- User manual
- Warranty card
- A sheet of thermal pad
- A rubber screw? For securing the SSD

Box Body
I don't know why, but the surface was covered with dust and strange-looking hairs?
It was so dirty; it took me a long time to wipe it clean...

The black outer part seems to be some kind of protective sleeve, which can be removed.
Disassembled, it looks like this—it seems okay. (Though it's not quite that simple.)

User Experience
I don't know if it's due to cost-cutting from being too cheap, but the slot for installing the SSD in this device is crooked. After inserting the SSD, it cannot be pressed down and gets stuck. Forcing it down causes a slight deformation at the interface...
In terms of usage, everything worked fine on my Matebook14.
I also used wtga (a helper tool) to create a Windows to Go and successfully installed and booted into the system...

However, when I switched to the newly purchased Tianxuan Air laptop, it stopped working.
At first, there were various boot failures.
Later, when I tried to create a Windows to Go by connecting the SSD enclosure to the Tianxuan Air, that also failed. Eventually, I discovered that reading and writing speeds on the Tianxuan Air were extremely slow, making it virtually unusable. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the SSD enclosure or the Tianxuan Air itself... after all, the Tianxuan Air can read and write to my mechanical portable hard drive normally.
While writing this article, I ordered a more expensive Jingzao SSD enclosure (10 yuan pricier), but it seems delivery has been slow due to the recent Double Eleven shopping festival. It hasn't arrived after several days. I'll test it once it gets here.
Additional Note
By the way! These inexpensive SSD enclosures are all single-protocol, so my 128GB Teclast solid-state drive (with SATA protocol) couldn't be used.
