MacBook Air M3 15-inch Version Unboxing

Preface

This 15-inch M3 MacBook Air was unboxed back in June. I didn't expect it would take me this long to finally write about it…

Outer Packaging

The outer packaging is an eco-friendly cardboard box that has been used for many generations.

Packaging

I think the image on the Air packaging looks better than the Pro's.

Back of the Packaging

The back is just some information and such, nothing special.

Unboxing (开箱)

Very minimalist, right out of the box you see the Apple logo

Accessories

After taking out the computer itself, there is only one cable and a charger below, which is very environmentally friendly.

Accessories

Just two accessories

Comparison

Let's compare it with my Matebook14

It's a bit larger, but in terms of build quality, the Matebook doesn't lose to the Macbook (after all, even the names are so similar 😂)

Front

Side View

The thickness is also roughly the same

Power On

Flip open to power on, and it displays "你好" in multiple languages—a nice design touch.

Keyboard Layout

But this keyboard layout is truly awful

Entering the System

After entering the system, there's not much to say. macOS is also nothing to write home about.

Summary

After Apple replaced the CPU with its own M-series chips, the experience with the Air has become excellent. During my time using it, whether for coding or watching shows, it's been great, with long battery life and sufficient performance when unplugged (离电性能) 👍

It's suitable for people who need to carry a computer around all day (However, I don't need to carry a laptop around frequently since I have a desktop at work and at home. The laptop's role has shifted to being used occasionally at home when I don't want to sit at the desktop~). Also, in winter, I can use the laptop to read documents or similar tasks while basking in the garden (However, the Air's screen brightness isn't sufficient, which is why I later bought a Pro 😂).

As for the system, there's so much I could criticize. For me, the appeal of Mac lies in its excellent hardware and craftsmanship design. Many people might buy a Mac for the system, but I'm really not accustomed to using the Mac system. However, for the sake of its advantages, it's tolerable (just adapt to it), especially since I don't use it often. The system I'm most comfortable with is still Linux~

🆗 That's it for now. I've accumulated so many unboxing reviews to write recently, time to move on to the next one…
